PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that iron loss increases and vibration and noise of an electric motor occur due to a decrease in a cross section with which magnetic flux passes through a core and an increase in magnetic flux density in an end plate fixing structure of a rotator of a conventional self-starting permanent magnet type synchronous electric motor. SOLUTION: Projection parts 5 and 25 fixing end plates for preventing magnet fall-off 6 and 26, which are united with a basket-type conductor by a die cast, are arranged. The end plates 6 and 26 are engaged and the projection parts 5 and 26 are crushed. Thus, the end plates 6 and 26 are easily fixed. A stage face 30 is disposed in a shaft 34 of the electric motor and the stage face 30a is closely stuck with the end plates for preventing magnet fall-off 6 and 40 or is brought into contact with them through a component such as a ring 43 so as to fix them.
