EXTERNAL ELECTRODE FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

An EEFL and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to form an external electrode at a low cost by using a cap tube having the same heat expansion coefficient as the lamp. External electrodes are arranged in one row on plural EEFL(External Electrode Fluorescent Lamps)(100). A support side(120) is coupled with both ends of the EEFL and fixes the EEFL. A backlight unit(200) includes an optical sheet and a reflective plate. The optical sheet and the reflective plate are formed on upper and lower portions of the EEFL. A liquid crystal panel(300) is configured on the backlight unit. A guide panel(150) fixes the optical sheet and guides the liquid crystal panel. A case top(160) and a bottom cover(170) support and fix the liquid crystal panel and he backlight unit.
