<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer that avoids contamination of members in a developing device and a carrier, is excellent in durability, low-temperature fixability, offset resistance and storage stability, and allows for forming high-quality images free of an abnormal image, such as, density reduction or background fouling, even due to temperature/humidity variations. <P>SOLUTION: The developer includes a toner in which a binder resin comprises a polyester resin (A), having softening temperature of 120-160°C and a polyester resin (B) having softening temperature range of 80 to lower than 120°C, wherein at least one of the polyester resins (A) and (B) is prepared by condensation polymerization between an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component, and the alcohol component comprises divalent alcohol of 1,2-propanediol in a content of 65 mol% or higher and consists substantially of aliphatic alcohols. The developer also includes a carrier whose covering layer comprises an N-alkoxyalkylated benzoguanamine resin and a silicone resin, having at least one of a silanol group capable of reacting with the benzoguanamine resin and a hydrolyzable group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
