PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar type battery capable of preventing that a discharge circuit element is damaged, and of suppressing reduction of battery performance. SOLUTION: This has a battery element 10 composed by lamination of a bipolar type electrode 14 via an ion conductive layer 15 a plurality of pieces wherein a positive electrode active material layer 12 is formed on one face of a current collector 11 and a negative electrode active material layer 13 is formed on the other face, a discharge circuit means 20 which is installed between the neighboring current collectors 11 of the battery element 10, and includes an organic semiconductor layer to discharge electric charges generated in the current collector 11, and an extension part 30 which is integrally extended from the end part of the ion conductive layer 15, installed between the discharge circuit means 20 and the current collector 11 having a conductive region at a position corresponding to the discharge circuit means 20, electrically connects the discharge circuit means 20 and the current collector 11, and protects the discharge circuit means 20 having elasticity.
