PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method in which an image larger than a display area of a viewer is displayed on the viewer and the image is relatively moved with respect to the display area of the viewer. SOLUTION: An arrangement of frame elements 22 are defined in the display area 16 of the viewer. A division image 24 on the corresponding position is allocated and is displayed on each frame element 22. When the relative movement of the image with respect to the display area 16 of the viewer is indicated, a position to be moved of the frame element 22 with respect to the display area 16 of the viewer is calculated and the frame element 22 is moved to the position. The frame element 22 on the position corresponding to the division image 24 parting from the display area 16 of the viewer in accordance with the relative movement of the image is removed, the frame element 22 is added to the position corresponding to the division image approaching the display area 16 of the viewer and the position of the arrangement of frame element 22 with respect to the image is changed.
