PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting block which can be fixed to an inner peripheral surface of a stile-rail body by itself and can increase the contact area with a glass body, and to provide a sash using it. SOLUTION: The setting block is provided between the inner peripheral surface of the stile-rail body 3 formed by assembling stiles and rails into a quadrangle, and an outer peripheral surface of the glass body 4 housed in the stile-rail body 3. The setting block comprises a fixed part 33 fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the stile-rail body 3 and a contact part 37 having a planar part 32a which faces or is in contact with the outer periphery of the glass body 4, of which the fixed part 33 and the contact part 37 are formed in an integrating manner.
