PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food heating apparatus capable of accurately heating food contained in a case to a preset temperature. SOLUTION: The food heating apparatus which has a storage tube 13 for storing a bottled drink X and a temperature measurement unit 14 for measuring the temperature of the outer surface of a plastic bottle containing the bottled drink X stored in the storage tube 13 heats the bottled drink X stored in the storage tube 13 to the preset temperature using a microwave. Further, the food heating apparatus includes a storage tube temperature sensor 16 for measuring the atmospheric temperature in the storage tube 13, a temperature calculation means for calculating a heating stop temperature on the basis of the atmospheric temperature in the storage tube 13 which is measured prior to the heating of the bottled drink X and the preset temperature, and a controller which stops the heating of the bottled drink X when the temperature of the outer surface of the plastic bottle which is measured during the heating of the bottled drink X reaches the heating stop temperature.
