A refrigerator is provided to be capable of controlling a liquid crystal transparent window of the refrigerator and a light source of a storage room according to preference of users. A refrigerator comprises a main body(10), a seeing-through unit(200) of a storage room, a driving unit for the seeing-through unit of the storage room, and a memory unit. The main body includes a storage room inside. The seeing-through unit of the storage room is equipped with a liquid crystal transparent window(210) capable of varying transparency and a light source(220) of the storage room. The driving unit for the seeing-through unit of the storage room has setting information including the transparency of the liquid crystal transparent window that users want, and drives the seeing-through unit of the storage room. The memory unit stores the setting information about the transparency and the light source of the storage room, and waiting mode information including a predetermined figure.
