Energy saving and low pollution are achieved while operability is sustained. In a hybrid harbor loading/unloading crane system having an engine generator (1) and a power storage unit (28) as a power supply for a load, operation is performed in such procedures that hybrid control is carried out while the power storage amount of the power storage unit (28) is taken account of when the load is operated electrically, hybrid control is carried out while the next electrical operation of the load is taken account of when the load is regenerated, and hybrid control is carried out while the next electrical operation and maintenance of the load are taken account of when the load is stopping so that operability can be sustained even with the engine generator (1) of smaller capacity at the time of hoisting, lowering, traveling and stopping.
