The invention provides a lighting device comprising a light tile. The light tile comprises a combination of a first light source (with a first color temperature), a second light source (with a second color temperature) and an at least partially transparent sheet which is arranged in between the light sources. Light having a third color temperature is generated. The lighting device further comprises a controller for controlling one or more parameters selected from the group consisting of the intensity of the first radiation and the intensity of the second radiation. Advantageously, such light tile may be relatively flat. A further advantage is that the light tile may be construed to have the ballast integrated in the light tile. Further, the color temperature may be easily varied, for instance by selecting light sources having different color temperatures and by varying the intensity of the light sources.
