<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gall to a wheel shaft, when attaching-detaching a bearing, in a bearing device for a railroad vehicle wheel shaft. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device for the railroad vehicle wheel shaft is provided for positioning an inner ring 12 to the wheel shaft 26 via a rear cover 30 fitted to the wheel shaft 26, by installing a double row rolling bearing 10 on the wheel shaft 26. A recessed part 38 is arranged on the outer diameter side of a mutually fitting surface of the rear cover 30. Thus, since elastic deformation is allowed when rigidity of an end part of the mutually fitting surface reduces by arranging the recessed part 38 on the outer diameter side of the mutually fitting surface of the rear cover 30, generation of edge stress by mutually fitting bearing pressure is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
