PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely cleaning the surface of a grid and also preventing the generation of leakage due to the water left on the grid. SOLUTION: After wet cleaning using a grid cleaner is completed, a charger 40 is mounted on the image forming apparatus, a body-side connector and a charger-side connector 47 are connected; and when a motor is electrically connected to a power supply (not shown), dry cleaning by an automatic cleaning mechanism is carried out automatically.
