MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR VANE TYPE HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR IN ENGINE WITH VARIABLE STROKE CHARACTERISTICS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine with variable stroke characteristics having a piston and a crankshaft connected to a control shaft through a variable stroke link mechanism, operating the variable stroke link mechanism by driving the control shaft with a vane type hydraulic actuator provided on the control shaft to vary the movement stroke of the piston and inhibiting enlargement of the engine in a height direction by reducing the height of a housing of the actuator. SOLUTION: A pair of vane hydraulic chambers 86 of the vane type hydraulic actuator AC are arranged side by side in a direction perpendicular to a cylinder axis L-L of the engine main body 1 of the engine with the stroke variable characteristics.
