A method for screening a candidate therapeutic agent for neurological diseases or nerve injury is provided to be usefully used for detecting a candidate compound which is bound to annexin-II on neurons to increase the neurite growth and neuron survival rate by activating signal molecules in a cell related to neurotrophicity. A method for screening a candidate therapeutic agent for neurological diseases or nerve injury comprises the steps of: (a) treating an annexin-II expressed cell line with a compound to be tested; (b) measuring the phosphorylation activity of kinase related to neurotrophicity from the cell line; and (c) comparing the result of the step(b) with that of a tested compound non-treated annexin-II expressed cell line, wherein the kinase is Raf, PKC(protein kinase C), ERK(extracellular regulated protein kinase), or PI(3)/Akt(phosphoinositide-3/Akt) and the neurological diseases or nerve injury includes dementia, Parkinson's diseases, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, palsy, ischemic brain disease, and nerve damage caused by accident and physical damage. Further, a method for measuring the phosphorylation activity is selected from a group consisting of a weston blot, MALDI-TOF/MS, ELISA, a method of determining an alpha radioactive nucleus, an electrophoresis by difference of net charge.
