PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To virtualize a plurality of disk storage devices and integrally manage them. SOLUTION: A part of a physical storage 14 connected to a host computer 10 via a communication network 12 is virtualized with a virtual switch 18, a virtual control unit 20, and a virtual device 22. When the physical storage 14 receives a command from the host computer 10, the command is discriminated. If the access is for its own physical storage, I/O processing is performed by accessing a real disk via the virtual control unit 20 and the virtual device 22. If the access is not for the own physical storage, the command is transmitted to a transmission destination via the virtual switch 18 to integrally manage the plurality of physical storages 14 according to the command.
