PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the arrangement structure of the exhaust gas sensor of a motorcycle without a dedicated protective cover, capable of protecting the exhaust gas sensor not only from stepping stones but also from splash of mud without impairment of weight saving of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas sensor 25 is erected obliquely to the inside of a vehicle body relative to a vertical line v stood at a sensor mounting section 31 formed in the upper part of an exhaust pipe 9 positioned inside a main frame 4. This position is in the upper part of the pivot shaft 17 of a seat cushion, and ahead of a shock-absorbing device 15 and the mudguard member 26 of the rear wheel 18. The lower part of the sensor 25 is protected by the exhaust pipe 9, and the front thereof is surrounded and protected by a member around a handlebar 2 and a member around an engine 11. Furthermore, both side faces thereof are surrounded and protected by the main frame 4 and the engine 10 or the member around the engine or the members engaged with the shock-absorbing device 15, and the rear thereof is protected by the mudguard member 26.
