PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless device or the like which searches for an apparatus made applicable to communication, saves power consumption and suppresses interference to surrounding wireless communication devices by shortening the time of data communications. SOLUTION: The wireless device serving for radio communications includes: directional antennas 9 and 10; non-directional antennas 7 and 8; a search means for searching for an apparatus made applicable to communication by means of the non-directional antennas; and a directional antenna switch means for switching the non-directional antennas with the directional antennas after the apparatus made applicable to communication is searched by the above search means.
