PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-dispersed paste excellent in storage stability, as well as a cation electrodeposition coating material excellent in secondary sagging resistance, electrodeposition coating properties to a rust preventive steel sheet, anticorrosion property and coating material stability. SOLUTION: This pigment-dispersed paste contains: (A) a resin for dispersing a pigment produced by reacting (a) 30 to 70% by mass of a glycidyl etherified product of a novolac-type phenolic resin, (b) 5 to 45% by mass of a cyclic ester compound, (c) 5 to 15% by mass of an amine compound and (d) 1 to 30% by mass of a phenolic compound, based on the total solid content mass of (a), (b), (c) and (d); and (B) a pigment component.
