PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely adjust oil levels even in the case of a transmission having a first storage part and a second storage part wherein their oil levels may not be same. SOLUTION: In the transmission, a cylindrical member 20 is provided at a lower part of a housing 2 so as to protrude upward. A communication hole 17 for communicating a partitioned oil pan chamber 3 with a differential chamber 5 is provided and an opening and closing valve 30 is provided for the communication hole 17 in an openable and closable manner. A drain plug 23 is provided to block or communicate between an inner part of the cylindrical member 20 and an outer part of the housing 2 by its attachment or detachment. The opening and closing 30 is closed when the drain plug 23 is attached as well as the opening and closing 30 is opened when the drain plug 23 is detached. Thus, if the oil levels L1, L2 of hydraulic fluid in the housing 2 exceed predetermined oil levels L3, L4, the hydraulic fluid overflows and is drained through the cylindrical member 20 and is adjusted to be the predetermined oil levels L3, L4.
