The assembly has a crucible (12) comprising a base (14) and side walls (16), and a package (13) comprising a body (20) with side walls (22) parallel to a reference axis (X). The package is made of cardboard, and a plastic film (18) covers an open end of the crucible. The body encloses the walls (16) of the crucible such that the walls (22) of the body are adjusted against the walls (16) of the crucible. The body has a crucible and body separating unit comprising two openings (28) provided in the walls (22) of the body and permitting to displace the body parallel to the reference axis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a packed crucible comprising a crucible and crucible package assembly (2) an assembly of packed crucibles.
