A linear robot is provided to prevent noises and particles by preventing a cover from being deflected downwardly by the weight thereof and preventing contact between the cover and a transfer table. A linear motor includes a housing, a side frame(34), a transfer table(38), a first horizontal level maintaining table(52) and a second horizontal level maintaining table(54), a wire(60), a horizontal spacing bar(62), a driving unit, and a cover. The housing has a square C-shaped cross section, and an inner surface on which a pair of LM rails(32) are fixed. The side frame is tightened onto both ends of the housing. The transfer table has a lower surface with LM blocks(36) which are slidable along the LM rails, a bottom with a guide hole(40), a top with a first ditch(42) and a second ditch(44), roller(46) mounted on entrances of the first and second ditches, and an upper surface with a roller bearing(48). The first horizontal level maintaining table and the second horizontal level maintaining table are arranged from both sides of the transfer table, and secured to the LM rails such that the first and second horizontal level maintaining tables are slidable. The tables(52,54) have tops equipped with roller bearing(56) and bottoms with wire guide holes(58). The wire has one end connected to the tables(52,54) and the other end connected to the side frame. The horizontal spacing bar has one end secured to the first horizontal level maintaining table and the other end secured to the second horizontal level maintaining table through the guide hole of the transfer table. The driving unit includes a linear motor stator and a linear motor mover arranged symmetrically with each other so as to move the transfer table. The cover has both sides fixed on a top of the side frame such that the cover is positioned on a top of the housing.
