<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device having a display unit and having increased shock resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic device 1 comprises: a first casing 7 with a peripheral wall 16; a display device 8 enclosed in the first casing 7 and having four side parts 8a-8d; a second casing 4; a hinge shaft 23 for rotatably supporting the first casing 7 against the second casing 4; and a bracket 25 connected to the hinge shaft 23 and extending into the first casing 7, the bracket 25 having a retaining part 31 which extends along one side part 8d of the display device 8 and which is secured to the display device 8, and a secured part 33 secured to a peripheral edge of the first casing 7 away from an area 56 formed between the four side parts 8a-8d of the display device 8 and the wall part of the peripheral wall 16 opposite to the side face parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
