PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a panel supporting device so that a base board can be stably held in a horizontal state by suppressing a rattle of a retainer plate by means of a simple constitution, without causing a hindrance to the rotational operation of an adjusting screw. SOLUTION: A base board jack 3 is constituted by supporting the retainer plate 33, on which the base board 4 is to be placed, by a top part of the adjusting screw 3 which is screwed into a leg base 31. The base board jack 3 is installed inside an floor rail 2 which is fixed to a floor surface F. A downward protruding tongue piece 33c, which is provided on the retainer plate 33 of the base board jack 3, is inserted into a slit 31c which is provided on the top surface of the leg base 31, so as to overlap a leg piece 31b of the leg base 31. The tongue piece 33c is fixed by being sandwiched between the leg piece 31b and a fixing plate 7 which is integrally fixed to a bottom surface 21 of the floor rail 2. After the height of the base board jack 3 is adjusted, the base board 4 covers the floor rail 2 so as to be supported by the base board jack 3, and a panel 5 is placed an supported on the base board 4.
