Embodiments of the invention include internal walls that do not extend to the ceiling, a track system, a joist which is able to move on the track system, a carriage which is able to move on the joist and a harness tethered to the carriage. Other embodiments of the invention include a track system which is able to move on the track system, a carriage able to move on the joist and a harness, which is configured for an ambulatory user, tethered to the carriage. Some embodiments include a system that can automatically trigger an alert notification if the tension on the tether remains high beyond a particular time. In some embodiments, the joist is an open web joist.
