<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which an improvement in maintenance characteristic is made possible by effectively preventing the occurrence of a fault and upsizing. <P>SOLUTION: A back cover 14 for closing an opening 13 of an apparatus body 2 is freely attachably and detachably mounted; a control substrate 32 for driving control of the apparatus 1 is arranged on the inner side of the back cover 14; and electromagnetic clutches 20a, 20b, 20c and a motor 21 are arranged on the inner side of the control substrate 32. The control substrate 32 is divided to a main substrate 32A arranged in correspondence to a region where the electromagnetic clutches 20a, 20b, 20c and the motor 21 do not exist, and a sub-substrate 32B for power supply stop permission element packaging freely attachably and detachably arranged in correspondence to the region where these exist. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
