PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user take proper measures to a failure regarding a security module. SOLUTION: A module detection switch 322 detects whether or not the security module 50 which generates information for releasing conditional access is provided and supplies a detection signal MJ to a control part 50. A connector part 321 is electrically connected with the security module 50. A control part 40 displays a message according to a state of the failure on a screen of a display part 27 to make the user take the proper measures by detecting whether or not communication with the security module 50 via the connector part 321, setting an instruction based on this detection result and the detection signal MJ and supplying an on-screen control signal DS indicating the set instruction to a display drive part 26.
