PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device easy to assemble, and improved in operation feeling. SOLUTION: Even when it is energetically relatively moved to a stroke end such as the case where a force of an operator is strong, since a clamp bolt 5 does not collides with an end surface of a telescopic long hole 1b and instead, it collides with a shock absorbing member 6, an impact force is thereby effectively relaxed. Since the shock absorbing member 6 is fitted/arranged on a circular opening 1c extending in a direction crossing to given impact force, while it is provided with high retaining force and is excellent in assembling property, even if the clamp bolt 5 repeatedly collides, dropping off is suppressed.
