PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact device for a walking action type thermal mannequin facilitating putting on and taking off of test clothes and reducing the measurement error in transferring property of heat and/or water vapor. SOLUTION: The device for a walking action type thermal mannequin is equipped with a driving device capable of housing, in its inside, a thermal mannequin whose both upper limbs and both lower limbs are movable and a lifting and lowering device of the thermal mannequin. A rack of the driving device comprises: guide rails provided on the upper part and the lower part of the rack and confronting at the right and left and extending in a horizontal direction to the front and rear; a guide fitted in the guide rail and movable in a horizontal direction; a power source for driving the guide; and a means to transmit power to the guide. The guide has a mannequin upper and lower limb connecting means, and the power source controls the stroke length and stroke speed of the guide with a power source controller.
