PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of circuit area and power consumption by performing focal point detection (focus pull-in) processing of laser spot or interlayer movement (focus jump) processing with high sampling. SOLUTION: Processing of an AD converter is enabled with high sampling and without changing operational speed by using an AD converter for focus-error signals for tracking error signals in focus pull-in processing or focus jump processing.
