Apparatus for cutting profiles in screen support capping members has a cutting means 9 (such as a saw), a first rotor 3, a second rotor 4 and a motor for driving the first and second rotors. The first rotor comprises means for mounting a plurality of screen support capping members (18, fig 4), such as a plurality of radially spaced clamping bars (13, fig 4). The second rotor is operable to move the cutting means parallel to the first rotor means so as to cut a plurality of profiles in the or each screen support capping member. It may comprise a plurality of radially spaced threaded shafts (19, fig 3) of different thread size mounted about a central shaft (20, fig 3) and operable to move the culling means parallel to the first rotor so as to cut profiles in the screen support capping members held thereon. |
