A method for displaying a call number and its mobile terminal are provided to display origination information or reception information at an extra space by displaying an origination number with a particular symbol. A key input unit(10) inputs an original origination number. A wireless transmitting/receiving unit(20) communicates with a base station according to the original origination number. A controller(30) determines whether a particular symbol is included in the original origination number or not when a call origination is attempted. When a particular symbol is included, the controller(30) checks whether a particular number has been allocated to the particular symbol, converts the particular symbol into the particular number, and attempts a call connection to the base station with the converted origination number. If no particular symbol is included or if a particular symbol is included but a particular number has not been allocated to the particular symbol, the controller(30) attempts a call connection to the base station with the original origination number. |
