<p>An inside plate (1) is placed in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine and is connected to a housing (14) along its circumferential edge (2). The inside plate has three through-openings where lines carrying gas and airborne sound pass through when the muffler is installed. A circumferential section (4) of the first (3) and third (3") openings has a radial play with an inside pipe. In the area of the inside pipe, the inside plate has spring-elastic tongues (6,6a",6b") that form another circumferential section (7) of the openings at its free end (8) and connects with the inside pipe. An independent claim is also included for the connection between a plate and a pipe.</p> |
