<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methanol synthesis installation in which methanol can be produced from a raw material having a small methane content, such as coal gas, in high energy efficiency, and to provide a method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: This methanol synthesis installation is characterized by comprising a pressurizing device 15 for pressurizing a raw material gas 101 having a small hydrocarbon content and supplied through a raw material supply line L<SB>1</SB>, a methanol synthesis device 17 for synthesizing crude methanol 18 from a pressurized raw material gas 101, a reformer 13 for reforming an unreacted gas 102 having a large methane content and separated from the methanol synthesis device 17 with steam 12 supplied through a steam supply line L<SB>2</SB>, a reformed gas supply line L<SB>3</SB>for supplying the reformed gas 14 reformed with the reformer 13 to the raw material 101, and a refiner 20 for refining the crude methanol 18 obtained with the methanol synthesis device 17 to obtain the methanol 19 of product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
