PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm rest structure for a vehicle devised to certainly exert a function of a collapsible structure on the side of an arm rest lower by constituting a structure of an arm rest upper in a structure free to buckle. SOLUTION: An arm rest 3 is set on a door trim 1 provided on a side wall of a cabin 2 so as to project to the inside of the cabin 2, the arm rest 3 is constituted of the arm rest lower integrally formed on the side of the door trim 1 and the arm rest upper 5 mounted to cover the arm rest lower 4, and the arm rest upper 5 is constituted in the structure free to buckle as the arm rest upper 5 moves to open by cutting out a part of a rear wall surface part 5e in constituting it with an upper wall surface part 5a to put an arm of an occupant, etc. on, an inside wall surface part 5b facing the left and right sides of the cabin and the rear wall surface part 5e facing the rear of the cabin.
