A distortion compensating circuit capable of compensating for the nonlinearity of an amplifier having such characteristics that the gain is compressed as an input power increases to cause phase lag. An inductor (112) is connected in series with a diode (105) in the distortion compensating circuit (100). Since the resistive component of the diode (105) decreases as the input power increases, impedance effect of the inductor (112) connected in series with the diode (105) appears, and such characteristics that the impedance of the distortion compensating circuit (100) becomes inductive to cause phase lead are attained. Since the resistive component of the diode (105) decreases as the input power increases, loss is reduced and gain increasing characteristics are attained. |
