<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-processing device which can inform a vehicle crew of the existence of a moving object at an early stage, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: While a vehicle is running backward (S101: "YES"), an image obtained by photographing a scene behind the vehicle is subjected to coordinate conversion to generate a bird's-eye view image (S102). The generated bird's-eye view image is coupled with a history image, which is a bird's-eye view image generated, based on an image obtained by photographing at a time prior to the bird's-eye view image concerned, to generate a periphery image (S103). Whether a moving object, such as a pedestrian exists in the periphery of the vehicle is determined (S104). If the moving object is determined as existing (S104: "YES"), a moving object image, which represents the existence of the moving object, is superimposed on the periphery image (S105).
