<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of securing high reliability with excellent display quality by using low-melting glass with no lead contained in a sealing material for sealing an exhaust pipe. <P>SOLUTION: A front surface plate 22 and a rear surface plate 23 are oppositely arranged. One side of the tubular exhaust pipe 21 is arranged in a periphery of a fine hole 30 formed on the rear surface plate 23 through a tablet 32 as the sealing material formed of frit glass. A periphery of both of substrates and the exhaust pipe 21 are sealed by the sealing material 31 to form a discharge space 14. The discharge space 14 is exhausted by the exhaust pipe 21 and discharge gas is sealed in the discharge space 14. The rear surface plate 23 and the exhaust pipe 21 are jointed by a junction where the tablet 32 formed of amorphous frit glass not containing lead is molten, and stress acting on the junction is tensile force directed to the rear surface plate 23 and the exhaust pipe 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
