PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aperture antenna with high radiation efficiency and a small range of variation in the radiation characteristics. SOLUTION: The aperture antenna is provided with: a dielectric layer 2; a high frequency line 1 formed on the upper face of the dielectric layer 2 and comprising line conductor 3 and a same plane ground conductor layer 4 surrounding the tip of the line conductor 3; a slot 5 formed to the upper face of the dielectric layer 2 crossing the line conductor 3; a ground conductor layer 8 formed to the inner layer or the lower face of the dielectric layer 2 and having an aperture opposed to the slot 5; and a shield conductor 6 for surrounding the tip of the line conductor 3 and the slot 5 in planar perspective view and electrically connecting the same plane ground conductor layer 4 to the ground conductor layer 8, and the width of the slot 5 in a direction in parallel with the line conductor 3 is gradually increased as the slot 5 is apart from the line conductor 3.
