摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems associated with a prior biological information measuring instrument, for example, a photoelectric plethysmogram signal is not detected properly depending on the position of a living body where a sensor section is pressed. <P>SOLUTION: The biological information measuring instrument has a sensor section comprising a substrate, a light emitting means, a light receiving means, a pressure detecting means and a pressure transmitter. When measuring blood pressure, the sensor section is pressed to a part of a living body and light is emitted from the light emitting means to the living body. The instrument then measures the blood pressure using reflected light from the living body detected by the light receiving means and pressure detected by the pressure detecting means. The sensor section has the pressure transmitter having a predetermined shape between the substrate and the light emitting means or the light receiving means and also has a pressure sensor having a pressure receiving face that comes into contact with the pressure transmitter.
