PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice-processing device producing ice particles while controlling the size and production rate for inspecting the components of a gas turbine engine and a method of inspecting the components. SOLUTION: This ice-processing device 10 inspects the effect of ice on the component of the engine mounted on aircraft by simulating the effect of ice on the upstream side of the components of the engine. An ice flow 11 for inspection is produced by crushing an ice cube by an ice crusher 12, supplying the crushed ice particles to an ice accelerating part 18 through a centrifugal accelerator 14, mixing it with the air supplied from an air supply source 16 to generate an ice flow 19, and feeding it to a nozzle 22.
