PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost variable air cleaning method for enabling the energy-saving operation of a clean room by determining an operation pattern of a blower in consideration of cleanliness and an operation time zone, wherein operation cost is high in a conventional clean room, since continuous operation or intermittent operation is periodically carried out by repeating on/off-operations. SOLUTION: In 24 hours or a time zone of a predetermined period being a work time zone in a business place, when maintaining cleanliness in the clean room, an air amount necessary for air conditioning is set at an allowable-maximum air blasting temperature difference, namely, a minimum air amount, and a blower or an exhauster is operated so as to maintain normal cleanliness during a working time zone, to maintain the cleanliness lower than the normal cleanliness such as 70 to 90% during a morning or an afternoon intermediate resting time, and to maintain minimum cleanliness during a time after a closing time through night and before starting.
