<p>A color selection assembly consists of a sequence of two-dimensional double-cone color cards in which the apexes are represented respectively by black and white. The colors on each card are those colors that run out in a graded sequence to white, and at the same angle from a further point to black, to an end-point. The run-out along the cone mantle follows a three-dimensional equidistant color system of brightness, saturation and color tone. The double cone mantle has a system of three coordinates, in which the Y axis shifts between white = 0 and black = 10 brightness L (luminance), the X-axis shifts between 0 and a maximum value saturation C (chroma), and a radius gains in H (Hue) about the Y axis color circle.</p> |
