PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of being unable to properly give kana (the Japanese alphabet) readings by adjusting the size of the kana readings written at the side of a Chinese character to the size between lines of a sentence when giving the kana readings written at the side of the Chinese character to the upper part vicinity of the Chinese character, for example, in the sentence including the Chinese character since an agate is not given by taking into consideration a space for giving the agate and the size of the agate though the agate can be given to a cerain character in a conventional image processor. SOLUTION: In this image processor for giving the agate corresponding to the character to the vicinity of the character in an image, the image processor with the agate giving function is characterized by having an area separating means for separating the image of a document into a character area including the character and a non-character arear other than the character area, a determining means for determining the size of the agate given according to the size of the non-character are by measuring the size of the non-character area in the image, and a synthetic means for giving the agate of the size determined by the determining means to the non-character area. |
