<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an optical axis of an optical beam perpendicular with respect to a tilted information recording medium by enabling accurate and dynamic tilt control with a simple mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: One light receiving element 24 and two light receiving elements 25, 25 constituting a tilt detecting part are provided at a side part of a supporting member 22, and a reflecting mirror 26 is arranged at a side part of a movable holder 21 supporting an objective lens so as to opposing to the light receiving element 24 and the light receiving elements 25, 25. The reflecting mirror 26 makes reflected light from an optical disk 1 incident on the light receiving elements 25, 25. Output of the light receiving elements 25, 25 is inputted to a differential amplifier 27, and a signal from the differential amplifier 27 is outputted to a tilt motor 28.
