PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life organic EL element capable of allowing a hole injection layer to stably operate, and preventing deterioration of the element. SOLUTION: The element is provided with a glass substrate 1 on which an anode 2, a CuPc film 3, hole transporting layer 4, light emitting layer 5, electron transporting layer 6, and a cathode 7 are laminated. The CuPc layer 3 used as a hole injection layer is one kind of porphyrin-based compound and formed so that its crystal structure is aβ-type. A conventional CuPc film havingα-type crystal is made to have aβ-type crystal, and thus, the stability can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
