<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a communication apparatus by sharing an electrode of a piezoelectric element and using the piezoelectric element for two purposes. <P>SOLUTION: This communication apparatus comprises: a piezoelectric element structured by sticking piezoelectric bodies 30a and 30b and electrodes 30c and 30d together; an acquisition means for acquiring from electrodes of the piezoelectric element acoustic data superimposed on a quasi-electrostatic field formed in a living organism; and a driving means for outputting the acoustic data to the electrodes of the piezoelectric element and driving the piezoelectric element as a speaker. Furthermore, the communication apparatus comprises: the piezoelectric element structured by sticking the piezoelectric bodies and the electrodes; an energy accumulation means for accumulating potentials generated in the electrodes by piezoelectric effects of the piezoelectric bodies as an electrical energy; and a communication means for data communication with a communication object via the electrodes with a signal of a frequency band where a strength of the quasi-electrostatic field is superior to a radiation electric field and an induction electromagnetic field in a predetermined distance, as a carrier wave.
