<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prosthetic appliance for treatment of vascular diseases particularly abdominal aortic aneurysm. <P>SOLUTION: A branched stent graft for prosthetics has two stent grafts, of which first ends are respectively located on a same position and second ends are respectively located different positions. Each stent graft has a first stent segment which includes a semicircular part and a diameter part connecting to the both ends of the semicircular part and retained by tension resulting from the both ends of the semicircular part and includes a first stent segment located on the first end of the stent graft, and draws approximately D-shape. In manufacturing the stent, pressure and heat applied to the diameter part provides tension to the diameter part when the stent is located. One or more transition segments make the shape of the stent graft switch between the approximately D-shape and the approximately circle shape. A vascular fraft surrounds the first stent graft and one or more transition segments and provides a lumen for flow of fruid from the first end to the second end of the stent graft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
