<p>The foam comprises a mixture of (A) a foaming agent R1-O-SO3X (pref. 20-80%) where R1 is alkyl C 10-20 and Xis alkaline or alkaline earth metal, NH4 or alkanolamine, (B) a wetting agent R2-SO3X where R2 is C8-22 (pref. 10%), (C) a diol (pref. 1-30%), (D) a (poly) alcohol (pref. 1-30%) (E) a polyalcohol diether as stabiliser (pref. 1-20%). Example contains 5% diethanolamine sulphate, 65% triethanolamine laurylsulphate, 20% monoethylene glycol, 5% butanol and 5% dimethyl-glycol diether. Advantages are low cost, low freezing point and the foam may be used at low aqueous concentrations.</p> |
