PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output system in which problems of an amount of data and a transfer rate required for transferring image data between two integrated circuits are solved. SOLUTION: The image output system transfers the image data from a first integrated circuit 1 to a second integrated circuit 5 via a data bus 6 and outputs an image based on an output of the second integrated circuit 5. The first integrated circuit 1 is provided with an encoder 10 which compresses and encodes the image data, and the second integrated circuit 5 is provided with a decoder 20 which expands and decodes the compressed image data received via the bus 6. It is assured that the encoder 10 encodes one frame or one line image data at an actual compression ratio equal to or more than a prescribed compression ratio. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
