<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can be immediately used at previously set time even in a time zone when ambient temperature is comparatively low. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature of a cleaning blade is detected a predetermined time before the time set by a user (S21 to S22). The fixing heating period of a fixing device is decided on the basis of the detected temperature, and fixing heating of the fixing device is started at a fixing heating start time settled on the basis of the decided fixing heating period and the set time. Alternatively, the control temperature of the fixing device is decided on the basis of the temperature, and the fixing device is controlled at the decided control temperature at least until the set time. Alternatively, the control temperature of the fixing device is corrected the predetermined time before the set time on the basis of the temperature and the variation per unit time of the temperature, and the fixing device is controlled at the corrected control temperature at least until the set time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
